metrOnly 2.0

This application was developed in response to the needs of individuals with neurodivergent profiles, including myself, who find existing metronome applications often distracting or overly complex.

My goal was to create a straightforward tool that provides solely precisely timed clicks without additional features that can interfere with concentration during practice. Features such as accents, visual indicators, and complex time signatures—while common in many apps—can be counterproductive for some users, and have thus been purposefully excluded.

In addition to its minimalist design, the app offers basic customization options, with plans to expand accessibility features to better serve a diverse user base.

The default tempo range references 4/4 time, spanning from 10 to 500 beats per minute, though users are encouraged to interpret and utilize it flexibly according to their practice needs.

Tempo adjustments are made via a drag gesture on the screen, accompanied by a tactile click for each increment—enhancing both usability and accessibility.

It is recommended that users possess a fundamental understanding of rhythm and time signatures before engaging with this tool to ensure effective practice.

I hope you find this application useful and suited to your practice routine.
